A car approaches a street corner where a dog and their owner stand waiting the cross while someone inside the car says, "What a cute dog, I love that breed!" Then, the occupants of the car are shown, with the driver explaining it's "rather unfortunate they have short lifespans" as the left-turn signal blinks. The car then dramatically swerves left, while the dog jumps in fear because the car is about to hit it as they cross the road. The car then abruptly stops while the dog cowers. The comic ends with the driver of the car saying "I didn't see that crosswalk" and the dog lets out a sigh of relief.
