The all famous buffalo wings, where do they come from? It’s in the name: buffalo. But these large horned animals don’t seem to have the essential features that would supply the football fan favorite meal. So, where are the wings?
Considering the rather tall stature of buffalo (~1000 lbs and 4-5 ft tall according to the National Park Service), their supposed wings should be rather large. Yet, the buffalo wings served on game night are small enough to be held between two fingers. And another question to this strange attribute is that there are no wings in any credible picture of the creatures. Are the wings just really tiny? Well, then they should still be visible. This leaves one possibility: buffalo wings are harvested from young buffalo. This is why no adult buffalo are ever seen with wings. This is why all served up buffalo wings are small. Well, you may be thinking that there’s also no photos of baby buffalo with wings either. And you’d be right. This is because ranchers slice off the wings of buffalo right after they are born because, if they are allowed to grow up with them, they will all fly away and there won’t be any more buffalo wings. Now this may seem unbelievable, a sham even, but the reason why every source claims that buffalo wings are really just made of chicken is because it’s a red-herring from Big-Buffalo-Wing to distract from the cruel practice of severing young buffalo from their wings (all research and publication is not affiliated with any credible source).
