Dune: Part Two

The sequel to Denis Villenuve’s 2021 adaptation of Frank Herbert’s critically acclaimed science fiction novel Dune was set to be released this November but was delayed to next March due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. The sequel will take place immediately after the first movie which had an all-star cast featuring Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Mamoa, and more! The film was very successful, making over 400 million at the box office and receiving praise from critics and viewers alike. The film will continue to follow the story of Timothee Chalamet’s character Paul Atreides as he ventures through the desert world of Arrakis and attempts to defeat the House of Harkonnen. He will learn to adapt to the new environment with the native Fremen and begin to develop a romance with Zendaya’s character, Chani. This film will be released in theaters and on IMAX on March 15th and is expected to be another success. The sequel will be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat just as the previous installment did.

Ghostbusters Afterlife Sequel (Untitled)

The beloved comedy-horror film Ghostbusters was released by Ivan Reitman in 1984 and has been a cult classic ever since. In 2021, Reitman’s son Jason released a sequel to the original two movies taking place more than 35 years after the events of the original film. Ghostbusters Afterlife was a success, grossing more than 200 million dollars at the box office and leaving old and new fans on the edge of their seats throughout the whole film. A sequel to the film was announced and is set to be released within the first quarter of 2024 but is still untitled. The film will feature the young cast from the previous film with talented stars like Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Logan Kim. It will also feature members of the original Ghostbusters cast like Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. The film will once again take place in New York City and follow Phoebe, Trevor, and Podcast, as they learn from the original Ghostbusters, Peter, Ray, and Windston to answer the call. This major motion picture will be sure to bring back old and new fans alike and is to be released on March 29.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

The film will follow characters from the previous movie featuring Kaylee Hottle as Jia, Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andres, and Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes. Godzilla and King Kong have been packing theatres in the U.S. and around the world for more than 80 years! This next film will take place sometime after the events of the previous movie which grossed more than 470 million dollars and was a sequel to both 2017’s Kong: Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Those movies grossed 566.6 million and 386.6 million, respectively. Adam Wingard’s film will continue to dive into Skull Island’s mysteries, and we’ll learn about the origins of Hollow Earth as well as the ancient Titan Battles. Godzilla x Kong is set to be released in early April 12 of next year and is expected to be another hit for the franchise.
