Bothell High School football had a great season! I wanted to interview some of the players on the team that have helped make up this amazing season. I asked players questions related to football and their experience playing for Bothell. I interviewed Jack Nash, who plays offensive/defensive line and Mylez Welch who plays running back and got their responses on Bothell Football’s season and other football related questions. The two have both played Football for a decently long time, six and nine years respectively. They both have high hopes for the team and that they will achieve success this season. “You know the team is pretty good, so I’ll say we’re gonna be the state champions,” Jack Nash stated when asked how he thought the Football team would do this year. Mylez had similar things to say stating that he felt that they would “Win Kingco and [have a] far run in playoffs.”
When asked what their favorite parts of both specifically Bothell football and football in general are, Jack stated that his favorite part of playing for Bothell is “Easily connecting with people I would’ve never talked to otherwise” and his favorite part about football in general is that “It tests your physical and mental limits like nothing else ever could.” Mylez’s favorite part of playing for Bothell is “How the school revolves around it” and his favorite part of playing football in general is “Scoring touchdowns.”
In addition to playing football, Mylez also plays baseball for Bothell High School, while Jack only plays football as it is “all encompassing” and “takes up a big part of the year from November to January.”
We also asked questions about the NFL. We asked who each of them think is going to win the Super Bowl this year, with Jack picking the Detroit Lions and Mylez picking the Seattle Seahawks. A big part of our modern world is fantasy sports and especially fantasy football, and Mylez partakes in it and his team is doing decent as they are 3-2.
