The message today for this moment is simple, yet sometimes forgotten. Winston Churchill has encouraged others by saying, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.” Churchill reminds us that what is most important is the continual efforts we make each day, not the outcomes of those efforts. Sam Levenson compares this same concept to a clock, he said, “Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.” This message of not giving up is even taught to us by Dory, a fish who forgets most of what she knows, but never forgets to, “Just keep swimming.” So just keep going BHS student or staff member who is reading this, you can do it, just take it one step at a time. After all, that is exactly how you climb a mountain.
