Flood of freshmen

How large will the freshmen numbers get at Bothell?

Over 30% of BHS’s students are freshmen, even though there are four grades at the school.

In an interview with Bothell High School’s Principal, Mr. Juan Price, he stated that “enrollment has gone up” since last year. He also projects that “enrollment will keep rising,” in relation to the increase of Bothell’s population.

From the view of a student, Claire Morse (‘22) believes that the current freshman class is “medium sized”, and that her class sizes are at “about 30 kids” per class. Morse also says that these class sizes are what she considers “normal.”

Besides last year, we do not have any data to compare how much bigger this year’s freshman class actually is. However, one thing is for sure: there are a lot of freshmen on the BHS campus, and because of the population rise in Bothell, it will probably be that way for a long time.
