Homecoming: 1920’s meets 2018

When classic American literature combines with lights, music, and confetti

This year, many students were excited for homecoming. The theme was “A Night At Gatsby’s.” The ASB had planned this since the beginning of the school year, brainstorming during their work days and introduced the homecoming theme at the back to school assembly on the first day of school.

Most of the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors haven’t read the book or watched the movie The Great Gatsby, which is the basis for this year’s theme. Because of this, “we hope that doing Great Gatsby will introduce them to it,” said Activities Director Haley Brunkow (‘19). She really wanted to get the lower-class men into the 20’s decorations. The theme for the football game was just “all out”.

The ASB hired the same DJ from MikeD Productions, the same as last year. One addition to the dance this year was food trucks.
