Digicam’s have become fairly popular recently. The word “digicam” commonly refers to an older digital camera. These cameras are used for their stylistic effects. The photos they take often provoke a dreamy, longing sort of feeling, similar to liminal spaces. Many people also like the nostalgia these cameras bring. Digicams are also found very, very cheaply as they are discarded in favor of smartphones or more advanced cameras. But the recent resurgence of 2000-2010’s nostalgia has brought these cameras back. This is a photo compilation of my experiences with digicams. Have a look!
While digicams are often used for stylistic and aesthetic purposes, they can also be used as an option for getting into photography for the first time. Older DSLR cameras are often cheap and take amazing quality photos. If you see an older digital camera out in the wild somewhere, why not try it out?
