Nameless wakes up. They are in a small, gray room. A simple mattress is in the corner of the room, with a white pillow and blanket. Nameless lies on the bed in the fetal position. Across the room, a steel folding chair faces a gray wooden table with an old, powered-off personal computer. The room lacks doors or windows, and a singular dim gray light shines from the ceiling.
> What will Nameless do?
Nameless is trembling. Nameless closes their eyes tight. They do not want to get up. They do not desire to continue.

Nameless hears something land next to them. Opening their eyes, Nameless spots a scruffy gray cat plush next to them…Nameless quickly snatches the toy and brings it close to their chest. Hugging it, Nameless gently strokes the head of the plush. The trembling stops.
> Nameless has calmed down. What will Nameless do?
Nameless sits up while holding their new friend close, surveying their surroundings again. There are no observable changes besides their new friend. Nameless carefully gets off the mattress and walks to the table where the computer is. Nameless sits at the table and places his new friend on his lap, gently petting it while they turn on the computer, which has a new game icon titled “Game2.” It depicts a frowning cat with narrowed eyes. Nameless stares at the icon, hesitantly moving the mouse cursor and clicking.
The game starts up. Nameless plays as a 2-dimensional cat with a key in its mouth in a strange, dark room. The room has an open cage on top of a table, the playable cat is inside. There is a locked door, window, and a patch of dirt on the floor. Words appear on the screen: “Go to Door.” Nameless tests the controls, same as before. They move the cat out of the cage and to the door. A cutscene plays, and the cat manages to get the key into the lock and opens it…the child hears something click to the left. The child looks left, seeing an unlocked door.
The child blinks, climbs off the chair, and walks to the door. They carefully open the door, then quickly shield their eyes with their other arm as a bright light shines upon them. The child slowly moves their arm away and tries to make out the origin of the light…it’s the sun. The child blinks and observes their surroundings. It’s a beautiful day, wind blows across a field of flowers, the grass sways softly, and the sun shines warmly upon the world.
The child turns their head back and spots their friend…the child wants to take their friend with them. They turn around and walk to the chair, picking their friend up…the door shuts behind them. Something grabs onto their chest, their legs. It covers their eyes. Before the child can fight back–
