Seattle is one of the capitals of the entire world when it comes to music, with the Seattle Symphony being the best symphony orchestra in the northwest United States. Multiple players in the symphony are considered some of the best on their instruments. What started as a theatre in 1926 has become one of the most popular music venues in Washington, having received multiple awards for its cleanliness, lounge quality, and kind staff. It survived a pipe bombing from the extremist group The Order in 1984, which caused the building to be completely renovated into what we see it as today (Yummy Panda).
The Show Box is one of the oldest theaters in Seattle, with the doors opening on July 24, 1939. It has had an amazing history, with Duke Ellington performing shows there, as well as Kid Rock, Iggy Pop, Macklemore, and Gypsy Rose Lee, just to name a few (Paige Cornwell, The Seattle Times). With many performances every week, it is quite a popular place to be on weekends.
